Choosing the Right Product Specification
Buyers should compare diameter, rim width, depth, stacking profile and piece weight. A salad plate may also function as a side plate or lunch plate, but the final name should follow the target market and intended assortment. Existing molds allow buyers to test proven sizes before considering a proprietary shape or new tooling.
Retail and Foodservice Applications
Typical uses include retail place settings, café service, buffet side plates, outdoor dining, children-friendly tableware and branded seasonal collections. The most suitable specification depends on the desired shelf price, material, weight, decoration coverage and expected service conditions.
OEM, Materials and Private-Label Options
Available development routes include existing patterns, buyer-supplied decal artwork, custom colors, logos, barcodes and private-label retail packaging. Choose 30% MELAMINE or 100% MELAMINE according to the approved requirement. Microwave use is not recommended, and the decorated sample should be approved before production.
The standard MOQ is 3,000 pieces per SKU. Lower minimums and mixed designs may be reviewed only for a first order and confirmed case by case. Sample development normally takes about 10 days after the specification and artwork are confirmed. Standard production lead time is approximately 45–60 days after the deposit is received and the sample is approved; the final schedule depends on the approved specification, order quantity, decoration and packaging requirements. FOB is standard; CIF and other Incoterms can be discussed.
Food-grade, BPA-free and break-resistant options are available. Products can be tested to comply with applicable U.S. FDA food-contact requirements, California Proposition 65 requirements, Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011, as amended, and applicable LFGB/BfR food-contact requirements.
