Choosing the Material: 100% or 30% Melamine
Every Mossvale Tide design is available in 100% or 30% melamine. The two look alike on a sample table. The difference is which food-contact tests each one passes, and that decides which markets a program can serve.
100% melamine
Molded from 100% virgin melamine-formaldehyde resin. Tested to applicable U.S. FDA food-contact requirements, Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011, as amended, and applicable LFGB requirements for the German market. Choose it for programs that need the full compliance matrix.
30% melamine
A lower-cost blend, tested to applicable U.S. FDA food-contact requirements. It does not pass EU or LFGB food-contact testing, so it suits price-led programs in markets where that testing is not required.

Customization and Order Terms
Mossvale Tide can be supplied under your own brand: custom base colors, decal artwork, backstamp, barcode labeling, color boxes, sleeves, gift boxes and retail-ready display packaging. Decals are printed in-house, and exclusive molds can be developed for your program. Mixed-shape assortments are quoted per SKU, so a program can combine the plates, bowl, platter and tray in whatever ratio the shelf or the service needs.
- MOQStandard MOQ is 3,000 pieces per SKU; lower minimums can be arranged to support first trial orders from new customers, and custom-color minimums are confirmed case by case.
- ProductionApproximately 45–60 days after the deposit is received and the sample is approved.
- New colorsAround 60 days from color-sample approval.
- SamplesApproximately 10 days after specification and artwork are confirmed.
- Trade termsFOB is standard; CIF and other Incoterms can be discussed.
